Alexandra (Allie) Vance (she/her) is Wardenski P.C.’s inaugural Nigel Shelby Civil Rights Litigation Fellow. Allie began her one-year fellowship in September 2023, after previously serving as one of the firm’s Spring 2023 law clerks. During her fellowship, Allie is supporting the firm’s civil rights litigation work, with a focus on students’ rights and LGBTQ+ rights cases.

Allie received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2023. At NYU Law, Allie was a student in the Education Advocacy Clinic and the Brennan Center Public Policy Advocacy Clinic. She served as co-chair for the Education Law and Policy Society, taught criminal law to high school students through the High School Law Institute, worked as a research assistant to Professor Evelyn Malavé, and was an Executive Editor of the NYU Review of Law and Social Change. Allie completed summer legal internships at Alabama Appleseed and the Georgia Appellate Practice & Educational Resource Center (Georgia Resource Center), where she assisted in the post-conviction representation of life- and death-sentenced individuals in both criminal and civil rights cases. 

She graduated from The University of Alabama in 2020, where she earned a dual degree, magna cum laude, in Management Information Systems and Spanish.

Allie is originally from Alabama and currently lives in Queens.
