Wardenski P.C. Welcomes Summer 2023 Law Clerks

Wardenski P.C. is pleased to welcome Leora Johnson and Aaron Pinkett as the firm’s Summer 2023 law clerks. Leora and Aaron will support the firm’s civil rights litigation work.

Leora Johnson is entering her last year in the evening program at City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, where she is the incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and a member of the Latinx Law Student Association and student government. Leora has worked in the education field for many years — first as teacher, and then in college admissions and higher education administration — and plans to merge this experience with legal work in education and civil rights. During law school, Leora has interned for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, the Lawyers’ Committee on Civil Rights Under Law’s Educational Opportunities Project, the Office of General Counsel at CUNY, and a federal magistrate judge in the Southern District of New York. She is a graduate of Brown University. Read more about Leora here.

Aaron Pinkett is a rising second-year law student at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Boston University School of Public Health and a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University. Before law school, Aaron worked for the Massachusetts state government in a number of roles, including serving as the Research Director for the Massachusetts State Legislature’s Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Recovery and as a policy manager for the Massachusetts Office of Medicaid, where he helped develop evidence-based, health equity-centered policies related to telehealth, community health centers, maternal and infant mortality, and the delivery of emergency services. At Northwestern Law, Aaron will be on that Barlit National Trial Team, serve as Vice President of Professional Development for the Black Law Students Association, and co-chair the Student Bar Association’s Admissions Committee. Read more about Aaron here.

We are thrilled that Leora and Aaron will bring their talents and significant experience in education, health care, and civil rights to Wardenski P.C.’s work this summer.
